VACANZA “Wishing” Bracelets: A Gift of Warmth for the Front Lines

On September 6, 2024, Koo Foundation Sun Yat-Sen Cancer Center hosted a donation with lasting meaning. Mr. Yi-Chih Hsu, founder of the well-known Taiwanese accessories brand VACANZA (VACANZA 假期飾品), presented 1,435 “Wishing Series” charity bracelets to all medical and administrative staff, a tangible expression of gratitude and respect for teams who have stood on the front line of cancer care for years.

VACANZA’s “Wishing Series” carries a message of positivity and care. The brand has collaborated with the film BIG on co-branded charity pieces and regularly directs proceeds to nonprofit groups such as the Red Nose Doctors Association. This time, Mr. Hsu went a step further by donating the bracelets directly to KFSYSCC, extending the brand’s founding mission of “delivering hope through jewelry” into the medical setting.

The organizing team added a thoughtful touch by collecting words of thanks from patients and families dating back to 2020 and printing them as “Notes of Strength” cards. Each bracelet was paired with a card and placed in the hands of a colleague.

A few short lines said it best: “Thank you for pulling me back from the brink of death.” “With you here, I am never alone.” These words from the heart are the most genuine feedback and the most meaningful recognition.
